  • 750g chicken breast (cut into chunks)
  • 2 onions (quartered)
  • 500g broccoli florets
  • 3 tsp garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 250ml chicken stock
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into chunks and quarter the onions. Mince the ginger and crush the garlic.
  2. In the slow cooker, combine chicken, onions, garlic, ginger, chicken stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  4. After cooking, mix cornstarch with water until smooth; stir into the slow cooker.
  5. Gently fold in broccoli and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
