Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tbsp butter
  • 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
  • ½ cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 pound boneless rib-eye steak (sliced or chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Sauté the chopped green bell pepper and onion in melted butter over medium heat until softened (3-4 minutes).
  2. Remove veggies and cook rib-eye steak in the same pan with remaining butter, seasoning with salt and pepper until browned (3-4 minutes).
  3. Combine sautéed vegetables with cooked steak.
  4. Place half a slice of provolone cheese on each egg roll wrapper followed by 2-3 tablespoons of the filling.
  5. Fold and seal each egg roll using water along the edges.
  6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan; fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown (3-5 minutes).
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.
