- 1½ – 2 cups breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine pepper jack cheese, cream cheese, jalapeños, and green onions.
- Roll the mixture into one-inch balls and refrigerate until firm.
- Set up a dredging station with flour in one dish, an egg-buttermilk mixture in another, and seasoned breadcrumbs in the last.
- Coat each ball in flour, dip in the egg mixture, and roll in breadcrumbs twice for extra crunch.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat; fry balls until golden brown on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
