  • 1/2 pound ground turkey sausage
  • 1/2 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup uncooked macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Spices: oregano, basil, black pepper, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a large cast iron skillet over medium heat, brown the ground turkey sausage and ground turkey together. Add the beef bouillon cube while cooking.
  2. Stir in the chopped onion and red bell pepper; sauté until softened.
  3. Mix in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, soy sauce, and spices. Reduce heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
  4. Add uncooked macaroni to the skillet, cover, and simmer for another 20 minutes until pasta is tender. Add water or extra tomato sauce if necessary.
