  • ½ cup (100 ml) dry red wine
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 cans (14 oz each) crushed tomatoes
  • lb (900 g) gnocchi

Instructions

  2. Stir in garlic and ground beef; brown the meat for about 5–6 minutes.
  3. Pour in red wine; simmer briefly to evaporate alcohol. Add tomato paste and herbs; mix well.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes and bay leaves; bring to boil then simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook gnocchi according to package directions; drain.
  6. Combine cooked gnocchi with sauce, adjust seasoning, and serve garnished with Parmesan and basil.
