  • ½ cup French-fried onions
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine uncooked rice, French onion soup mix, and beef broth. Stir in the cooked beef and sour cream until well mixed.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish, top with shredded cheese, and cover with aluminum foil.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes covered; then remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  6. Top with French-fried onions and bake for another 5 minutes until golden brown.
