- 4 tablespoons Kahlua, or other coffee liqueur
- 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder (for Kahlua buttercream)
- 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- Ground cinnamon, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt diced butter and chopped chocolate over a double boiler until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk granulated sugar and eggs together; mix in espresso powder, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Combine melted chocolate mixture with wet ingredients; fold in flour until just incorporated.
- Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

- For the Kahlua buttercream, cream softened butter and heavy cream; gradually add powdered sugar, then stir in Kahlua and espresso powder until smooth.
