  • 1 can kidney beans (15 oz, drained and rinsed)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth (or beer)
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink.
  2. Add diced onions and minced garlic; cook until onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper, and cayenne; cook until fragrant.
