  • 7-ounce container plain Greek yogurt
  • 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken by mixing yogurt, garam masala, lemon juice, black pepper, and ginger in a large bowl. Add chicken pieces and coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat a nonstick pan over high heat. Sear half the marinated chicken until golden brown; transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining chicken.
  3. In the same pan, combine tomato sauce, cream, garlic, garam masala, paprika, and salt. Stir briefly then add seared chicken back into the pan. Simmer for 20 minutes until thickened.
