  • 1/2 cup melted butter (divided)
  • 45 cups pre-cooked shredded chicken
  • 1012 ounces frozen peas and carrots
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 box (11 ounces) Cheddar Bay Biscuits Mix (seasoning packet set aside)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup freshly shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a casserole dish with melted butter.
  3. Layer shredded chicken evenly over the butter.
  4. Add frozen peas and carrots on top of the chicken.
  5. Sprinkle spices evenly over vegetables.
  6. Whisk together chicken broth and cream of chicken soup; pour over layers.
  7. Combine milk, biscuit mix, and half seasoning until smooth; pour over mixture.
  8. Grate cheddar cheese and sprinkle on top.
  9. Bake for about 55 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Brush with remaining melted butter mixed with leftover seasoning before serving.
