  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with a silicone mat.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flours, brown sugar, baking powder, and spices.
  3. Cut cold butter into dry mixture until crumbly.
  4. Mix milk, egg, and vanilla in another bowl; combine with dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in chopped apples gently.
  6. Drop heaping 1/4 cup portions on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 11–13 minutes until golden and set.
