  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups Domino® Golden Sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 cups unsalted butter
  • 8 cups Domino® Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tsp almond extract
  • 35 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • Red and blue gel icing color

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a stand mixer, cream together butter, vegetable oil, and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition; stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients alternating with milk until just combined.
  6. Scoop batter into lined sheets and bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely before decorating with buttercream frosting.
